The New Zealanders had the afternoon shift, and shortly before one o’clock they were gathering at their hotel in Cathedral Square to take the three team minibuses south for their own practice. Tuesday, February 22, was set down as a training day for each team, and the Australians had first use of the facilities at Lincoln, about half an hour’s drive away.
